About University
Lviv National Medical University was named after Danylo Halytsky, and was established in 1784. LNMU is one of the leading and oldest medical universities in Ukraine providing medical education for centuries.The University is well know for its quality of education and number of foreign students.
LNMU comprises of 6 faculties,a medical college,78 departments(including 47 clinical and 19 support for higher higher medical educational institutions in Ukraine),14 educational buildings,a dental medical centre,educational and industrial pharmacy,training simulation centre,botanical garden,Central scientific library and laboratory of industrial toxicology,Research institute of Epidemiology and Hygiene,Research centre for testing Antitumor Materials,Scientific library,9 hostels,4 museums and 1421 full time scientists,staffs and workers.The University is one of the leaders among higher medical education which attracts many foreign students from all over the world.

Hostel And Student Life in LNMU
The student hostel are located near the academic building.Students can live in 8 hostels which have every thing needed for studying (internet clubs and reading rooms).everyday life (Canteens,cafes,Sewing and footwear shops,barber’s and laundry rooms and more.
The best part is that there is a sports camp in the pine forest near Lake Pisochny and shatskyi. Students and professors of the university have an opportunity to rest in 16 wooden cottages of 4 rooms of each.The camp has a whole range of sports grounds.The athletes of the national team of the university are trained for various sports.
The University does its best to make students feel at home,as a member of large family.
