Kazan State Medical University ,KSMU was established on 14th May,1814.In 1930, Medical Faculty of Kazan State University is recognised into Kazan State Medical Institute. KSMU is the third oldest University in Moscow and Saint Petersburg. In 1994 Kazan State Medical Institute is recognised and acquires the status of Kazan State Medical University. KSMU is Government funded University.

Student Life And Hostel Life In KSMU
The University has one of the best hostels available in Russia. Dormitories consists of 8 rooms per floor,with 2-3 people sharing a room.Each floor also has 1 kitchen and 2 closets,and the basements has separate showers.We encourage students to apply early as the number of rooms are limited. There is no need to worry about safety, as hostels are being guarded 24/7, and the buildings are renovated and have all necessary measures like smoke detectors or a lightning rods.
