About University
Donetsk National Medical University (DNMU) is state owned higher educational establishment of Ukraine. DNMU is the best and the largest medical university in Eastern Europe. DNMU was established in 1930 as M. Gorky Donetsk Medical Institute. After the Second World War, Institute was renamed to Stalino Medical Institute. In 1967, the institute was again renamed to M.Gorky Donetsk State Medical Institute. In 1994, DNMU was given the status of University and in 2008 DNMU has got the status of National Medical University and it was renamed to M.Gorky Donetsk National Medical University. In 2015 according to the order of Ministry of Health of Decommunization, University name was changed to DONETSK NATIONAL MEDICAL UNIVERSITY. DNMU was the first medical university in Ukraine and Eastern Europe to start the faculty of Medicine,Dentistry and Pharmacy in English language for Overseas students.Today DNMU has following campuses :

- Kramatorsk Campus
DNMU has a complete infrastructure of at all campuses. DNMU has minimum of 7 hospitals working under DNMU as their Clinical bases for students and for Scientific Research work. All the theoretical and Clinical departments for students are functioning completely at all campuses. Scientific and research laboratories are available at every campus. At all campuses DNMU has good environment for students and teaching staff. DNMU provide fully equipped labs for all students at all campuses. For Clinical departments we have best hospitals of Ukraine, where students get training. The University has several administrative buildings and hostels at every campus. All the teaching staff has been transferred to different Campuses. DNMU has the biggest of Scientific research papers every year in all over Europe among all medical Universities( according to the Scopus).
The University is accredited by WHO/MCI/Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health.Ukraine/Participant of Bologna Declaration in 2005/International Medical Education Dictionary (IMED)/Education Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates(ECFMG)/Medical Council of Canada (MCC)/European Council of Medicine/General Medical Council (GMC) for PLAB in England. So the degree from DNMU is prestigious and world wide recognised.With the ranking and the accreditation of the university it the best place on an Indian students to study.
Ranking : DNMU is ranked 1st in Ukraine from 2001 till 2018 according to Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education Ukraine, and it rank 3003 among medical universities around the world.

Hostel and Students Life in DNMU
The Hostels of DNMU are equipped with everything needed for comfortable living,preparation of studies and rest. It have reading rooms, hall for education and a hall for recreation.Within campus areas,there are cafeterias,restaurants,buffets, shops where students can have a meal with their group mates and friends.The main par of DNMU hostels are 24 hours security system.
